Where do you go to master the techniques of building a web site that gets good search engine ranking, solid traffic, and content that turns your visitors into customers?

There is a formula for building a heavily traffic web site.

First, decide on the over-all theme of your web site deign.  Think of designing your web site as though you were the publisher of a magazine.  The content that you develop will center around the theme of the site. 

Second, after you decide on the theme of the site you will work on developing the content of the individual pages.

Internet search engines are text-centric databases.  They digest text -- not images.  It is textual content that feeds the search engine spiders, not graphics.

The important decision is at the beginning to decide on developing a web site design that is search engine friendly.  That is the secret of building traffic.  You can do anything you want with your web site design, but if you want traffic you will design according to the search engine rules.  There is no passerby web traffic.  If people are going to see your web site they will have to find you through one of the search engines.  That's life on the internet.  Conform or die.

You will need a way to research keywords.  The content of each page must be geared toward a primary keyword. The primary keyword becomes the theme of that particular page.  

Work the primary keyword into the text of the page.  Work to achieve a keyword density of 3 to 5 percent of the total word count.

You will need an HTML editor to construct and edit your pages.

You will need to find a web hosting company.

You will need to decide on domain name and then register your domain name.

You will need to optimize your pages for the search engine spiders.

You will need to search for other compatible web sites that in order to build reciprocal links.

If you are building a web site to make money you will need to research products to sell or hunt for affiliate programs that are compatible with your website theme
